13 May COVID-19 Level 2 Return to Work
I am pleased to report that we have safely provided care for our patients who have required urgent dental care throughout COVID-19 Levels 3 and 4.
I am also pleased to advise that the NZ Dental Council has released guidelines which now allow us to return to work at COVID-19 Level 2.
Our dentists and hygienists will, therefore, be open for work from Thursday 14th May.
In order to protect patients and staff, a rigorous screening process will apply.
We will be treating only patients who answer “no” to the COVID-19 screening questions.
If you have any flu-like symptoms, we respectfully request that you delay any dental appointments until after you have been tested and cleared from COVID-19.
A number of other steps will be taken to provide you with further levels of protection. If you require an appointment, please contact us at email@example.com or phone (03) 359 8300. Visit our website nwdental.co.nz for more information and for the latest updates.
Prior bookings are required before an appointment will be made.
If you wish to purchase any merchandise, please contact us beforehand to arrange collection.
Prior screening is required before we can allow entry into the surgery building.
We can offer a near full range of treatment, including using aerosol generating-equipment. Extra protective precautions will apply.
You will be pleased to know your much loved high and slow speed drills will be back in action!
We will be using the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the NZ Infection Prevention and Control Practice Standard. We will also be using additional PPE over and above this standard.
Additional time will be spent between patients to ensure equipment is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected as described in the Dental Council’s Transmission Based Precautions-Cleaning section.
As you will appreciate, we have a significant backlog of procedures to complete.
Our team have been working tirelessly behind the scenes as we prepare for our “new normal” in the COVID Level 2 era.
We are planning to extend our working hours to accommodate our patients.
We are looking forward to seeing you and being able to help you again with your dental needs.
