Fillings and Restorative Care

Modern materials offer excellent appearance and strength!

Fillings for front teeth

Composite fillings are generally made of plastic resin and filler. They have become increasingly popular due to their natural-looking appearance.

Many shades are available, and a filling can be matched closely to the colour of your existing teeth- making them almost invisible to see. Glass ionomer fillings are made of silicate glass powder, a high-quality material that is great for certain areas that require dental work.

Fillings for back teeth

Composite fillings are also an excellent option for back teeth.

Can I prevent fillings?

Pits and fissures (grooves) in teeth are susceptible to decay as these spots are ideal for harbouring plaque. Sealants are, therefore, a great option to protect teeth from decay. A sealant is a protective coating that seals off the area in the fissure to keep out bacteria.

A dental check-up will reveal to our dentists whether you require fissure sealants.
